Bank One Tries to Slam Me

I was calling Bank One regarding my UA credit card balance using the automated line and was forced to listen to a First Protect message and when it ended I was asked to hit #1 to acknowledge I heard the message. I did and the next thing I know a response is thanking me for my interest and FP is sending me an enrollment package! I immediately got a CS rep to document in my file I had no interest in First Protect and if I'm enrolled to cancel my plan and reverse any fees. Contrary to what some have posted here, I've been pleased with this card but informed the rep that if this is Bank One's new strategy to increase revenues, they will lose me. BEWARE.

I have a BA FirstUSA/Bank1One card since a couple of years and had no or only minor complaints:
1. I don't think that it is a good idea to trouble customers with with ADS, when they call for a service ... get balance or else...
2. It's bad marketing to "trick" somebody in a fee/service he/she does not want.
3. I would wait for the "package", cool down and refuse the First Protect Plan.
When I remember it right, a couple of days ago I got a check from Bank1ONE ($10, $20 or so) ... when I deposit the check, I would have joined First Protect ...!?

I always get those checks from Citibank and deposit them without signing :D
Gets me the cash without protections.... So far they have never enrolled me.
And if I get enrolled to help a Telemarketress with a sexy voice out I never had a problem cancelling these things....
