Question
I believe I'll be moving in the middle of the year (to Texas), and am thinking about getting a checking account with a miles debit card. I know of the following:
Chase - CO
Citibank - AA
Key - CO
US Bank - NW
BOA - Alaska
Who else has them? Other than Key, are there any smaller regional banks offering miles debit cards?
Answer
Bank One has a 1 for 2 debit card on UA, and a promotion through tomorrow for opening an account with northern Colorado branchs:

Answer
Chase has a big presence in Texas. If you are going to Houston, then CO miles are very cool and you'll be able to visit the branch, use fee-free ATMs, etc. readily

Answer
I'm going to DFW. Right now, I'm leaning toward Chase, because of CO's presence in IAH. I would do AA, but I strongly dislike Citicorp.

Whatever your issue is with Citi, I'd try to get past it. With AA's huge presence at DFW, I don't know why anyone would go with another carrier's FFP, let alone CO (let's not even start on the whole award availability issue). I've had my share of problems with Citi, but they've always been very good at throwing comp miles my way when they've screwed up.
Is there a reason you have to have a debit card instead of a credit card? I don't think I've seen a 1 mile/$1 debit card, at least one that gets AA miles. If you're not getting 1/$1, I would think you'd be better off with a cash rebate card.
Answer
If you pay $65 a year, you can get a Citibank/AA debit card that gives you 1 mile for every $ (and a 4000 mile bonus when you sign up too).
Answer
Why a debit card? Might as well get something out of a checking account...
My current carrier is DL, because that is the carrier my employer uses. I'm going from 30k miles a year to zero when I do this, so I'm just looking for a convienent bank with card to keep a trickle of miles in a program.
I may check out Citi's presence.
