Answer
Noticed that the offer is limited to one per person (NOT per household) so one could turn this into not $150 but $300 in easy cash if you and your spouse both do it.

Answer
Still a good offer but remember citibank will 1099 with $150.00 in income at end of year where as miles = no 1099.

There are no miles to be earned here so you can throw me into that 1099 briar patch anytime!

Answer
Have done a few times. Say unemployed and dont use the auto-fund electronic option during signup, and this will go smoothly.

Please clarify how saying that we are unemployed and not using the autofund option make things go smoother than doing otherwise. Thanks

Bump in hopes my question in the post immediately above will be answered.

Answer
speculating from a similar discussion at FatWallet, that by doing the above, the verification process for Citi to open account is greatly reduced. wouldn't recommend it as it would probably conflict with what you are telling the credit card wing.

I started this thread, I did open a checking acct for me and another for my wife using this promotion and we both did receive our $150 each - a VERY EASY $300 in my view.
If you are interested in doing this I just got another email this morning from ATT with virtually the same deal as mentioned in the first post, the only changes is that the accts need to be funded by April 30, 2004 AND the NEW promotion code has changed to "CEF8". If you need more info let me know.
