Question
I just got approved for a Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) AAdvantage Visa Gold credit card, and when I called Visa to have my AAdvantage number linked to the card, they said that they already applied for a new AAdvantage account for me. Huh? My question is, will I be able to merge my current account (no status, but with a modest balance) with the new one as soon as my first statement comes?
Answer
Yes, you'll be able to merge your AAdv accounts with no problem. Once you've received the new number simply call AA and have both merged into the original account
