I bought tickets on Swiss on my Citi card and am concerned recently that there will be another Swissair type shutdown. If that happens will Citi back reimburse the money for my tickets if Swiss does not?

In the future, whenever you are scared of these situations, book the flight as an AA codeshare and AA will get you to your destination a different way.

it would have been nice to book as an AA codeshare, but unortunately that would have been 1500 dollars more expensive.
