Question
Promo Code is: US0087977...
I found out that right now in addition to up to 10,000 miles on USAIRWAYS for picking up their Bank of America credit card... (they give an additional 500 miles just for applying with the promo code US0087977)....You can get either 5,000, 7,000 or 10,000 miles when you are qualified for one of the 3 cards you choose....Platinum, Gold or Classic...
They promo interest rate is awesome at 1.9% for 6 mos...
You get 1 mile for every dollar spent...
The additional 10,000 miles enabled me to get the ticket I needed....
I'm getting rid of my other cards....My old cards were too high and didn't get me 1 mile....lol If I'm gonna use a credit card anyway, I figure I can save money and get miles...
I think they're phone number is 1-888-961-2758...The lady I talked with was a real sweetheart!

Stop right there! "Too high"? What too high? I hope you mean annual fees, not interest rates! If you're paying ANY interest rate on a mileage credit card, you're LOSING money (you're paying way more in interest than you're getting in miles, no matter HOW you value miles).
And no mileage card pays you miles on balance you carry over or interest you pay. Thus:
The only sane way to use airline credit cards is to ALWAYS pay THAT CARD in full every month. If you need to keep a balance, get a non-airline no-annual-fee credit card with the lowest interest rate you can find and use that ONLY for the balances you carry.
Only by keeping the credit cards you carry balances on separate from the credit cards you earn miles/points/rewards on can the miles/points/rewards be worth it.
Answer

Answer
gleff pointed out multiple free cards (fee waived for 6-12 months) here:

Notable offers include the AA 10,000 mile bonus and the NW 15,000 mile bonus that make this should put this US offer 10K/$90 in perspective.
