I gave my Citibank Credit Card up after poor customer service on some international charges. I am looking to earn AA miles, so what are my options not using Citibank?

I'm sorry that you're having problems with Citibank, I have always found them to have good customer service.
Many members here seem to prefer the Starwood Amex. The Starwood program allows you to transfer miles between them and other airlines, including AA, with a 1:1 ratio. Starwood will throw in an extra 5000 miles for every 20,000 miles you transfer. The annual fee is only $30 after the first year which is free.
