I don't carry an MC and don't even know what all they have to offer. I missed out on the last round of FFN at Hyatt b/c of this and want to be ready for the next one.
What are some low/no fee MC's?

I'd recommend Amtrak's no fee MC. You can transfer miles 1:1 to United and I think CO also.
Another benefit is that MBNA does not charge any surcharge for foreign transactions.

Is this true of their Visa cards as well? I would imagine so, but I'd not heard that before.

Yes. MBNA does not add its own surcharge for foreign currency transactions, only 1% imposed by Visa and MC alike. Many other banks add 1 or 2% on top of that as their own surcharge.
