MBNA Lufthansa Miles & More

Question
Does your Visa card have your LH ffp number on it...? Mine does not. Also, my card had the annual fee debited on it when I received it, I had to call them and get it rebated.

Answer
Doesn't have my LH M&M # on it.
Called and was told that the CSR isn't able to see the # in the system by design, either.
Haven't gotten my first statement yet, but the CSR sees that it's a no-fee card...

Answer
MBNA seems to be marketing the card very aggresively. I applied and received my new card, and at the same time got another offer. I applied again, and got a second card in 5 minutes over the phone. Lets see if I can double dip with the first time use bonus... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Answer
On a related issue, Im having trouble getting the card's $60 annual fee waiver. Its been reported that SEN's get this fee waived. Does anybody know how to get this done? Ive called the Bank two times and had no luck. Thanks.

Answer
Do you get any status or benefits on Lufthansa when you use this card? Unlike other airline-branded CC's, this one does not even seem to earn double miles.

Answer
May I ask: you mean two LH cards?

You get no add-on benefits from LH. $1 earns 1 mile, that's it. Quite boring in the scheme of things. If it bores you, MBNA tries to talk you into another card product altogether.

I'm sure he does (or did, back in April '03). I've successfully double-dipped on them as well. It made up for the boring card. :p

Answer
Have the German LH Miles & More Gold card (no platinum available) issued by the Bayerische Landesbank and the yearly fee is €95 or about $115. The miles don't expire for the life of the card. You guys are lucky for just having to pay $60 per year. Also, in Germany, Sen and Hon members get the card for free. Forgot to mention, here it's €1 earns 1 mile. The German CC doesn't have your M&M # on it either.

I have the UK one but I remember when i received the "pre-approved" notice, the application had my LH ffp number already printed on the form, so, odds are, it's already linked. Why would you need it on the card anyways?
