Question
I have two UA cards (Visa) that Ive stopped using. Im thinking of calling the bank and asking for an airline swap. I know they have a BA card... which other airline do they have in their portfolio? Do they do a Qantas card...? Thanks.

How about Southwest? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
How about Marriott Rewards or Priority Club?

Are you expecting to get the bonus for a swap? Is it even possible to "do a swap"? Please let us know how it goes.
I know AmEx makes a great big of a deal when you want to "swap" their cards and they make peolpe apply again.
Answer
I have tried this. Unfortunately, First USA does not allow a swap of cards. You have to cancel one, and may have to wait a month or two before applying for the replacement.
On the other hand, MBNA will gladly and quickly swap an Amtrak for an Air Canada, etc.
Answer
FYI, on;t waste your efforts on Marriott or Priority Club Visa's. The point earnings is very weak compared to others in the market.
Answer
Finally did not do a swap, I just called the bank and asked them to consolidate both accounts into one. Killed one card and now have the combined credit limit on a single account.
So I guess First USA does not have a QF card, right...?
