Question
I have recently recieved solicititation for the HHonors Signature Visa with no annual fee. However, upon reading the fine print it says that the offer is based on an annual income of $35K. Mine is $30K plus irregular dividends from my Subchapter S Corp. that does bring me (usually) well over $35K. But the fine print says that if I do not qualify for the Signature card that I would be given a lesser card and lesser benefits.
As with most business owners, I do not really need another card, but the benefits (and no annual feed) for the Signature are tempting.
So. . . What are my chances of qualifying?
And if I do not qualify what are the benefits of the lesser (unidentified) card?
Answer
When you apply on-line you must specify your TOTAL income. Since you feel that you meet or exceed the $35K you read about, I would simply state that figure. Remember, they consider income from all sources.
