Mortgage Payments With Credit Card?

Question
Does anyone know of a service whereby I might be able to pay my monthly mortgage payment with my United Mileage Plus Visa? The thought of earning thousands of almost-free miles every month seems quite appealing.

Answer
No mortgage companies take credit cards for payment at the moment. You may want to call your mortgage company and make a suggestion. They might do that in the future.

Answer

Answer
I believe in the USA, Fannie Mae or Mac or whoever it is forbids you to make a mortgage payment with a credit card. The reason being, is that they don't want you to "borrow" money to make your mortgage payment, thinking you'll just be taking on more debt.

Answer
I sort of recall someone on this board mentioning a bill payer service that permits you to pay all of your bills (including your mortgage) by credit card. The organization that runs this program actually either cuts checks or electronically transfers the funds to the payee.
