Open a Citigold account @ Citibank and you will get this card & Diners w/ no annual fee.
Answer
Chix is right on. They will even waive the annual fee for Citigold services if you transfer enough assets and have decent account movement.
Answer
chix, could you please post a link? I went to the citibank website and couldn't find it.
Thanks in advance.

Chix, thanks for that. However, I hope you dont mind me asking if you have done this. The reason why I am asking is that I heard of this before and heard that it doesn't realy work. But if you can prove them wrong then I'm on your team. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
Also, do you know how long you have to have the account open and how much money has to be in the account?
BTW, what type of account is Citi Gold? Is it a regular checking/savings acount? Is there a monthly charge to have the account open?
Sorry for all the questions. It is just that I'm very intrigued by this.
Looking forward to your reply.

Generally a CitiGold account requires a minimum of $100K in assets with the bank. It offers checking, savings, investments, and more personalised service.
I know that some NYC companies have special deals for their employees whereby they can get CitiGold accounts without this minimum balance requirement.

Which compnanies in NYC allow you to use the citigold accont with a lower minimum asset ballance?
Also, is there a monthly fee?
Thanks.

Yes, I have done this. Plus it says your choice of Gold AAdvantage or Diners Club cards, but I have both (in fact I have the Platinum AAdvantage World Mastercard).
Here is quote right from Citibank.com web site:
No Fee Credit Cards: No annual membership fee for your choice of Citibank Gold AAdvantage or Diners Club Cards.
Answer
I checked out the Citi Site.
It is pretty high on their own fees. $125 a year and $25 every month that my balance is below $100,000. If I have that type of assets I can afford the measly $50 fee.
Do you know of a way to avoid those limitations (ie the fees and asset minimums) for the CitiGold.
