Secondary rental car insurance with 0 deductible

Question
Sorry if this was discussed before but if my personal auto insurance has 0 deductible for collision and comprehensive, does that mean that if I rent a car with a credit card that (like most of them) has secondary coverage (pays everything my insurance does not pay)the card would pay everything?
I'm wanting to drop my Diners Club card is why I'm asking.

Answer
Yes, unless there's some fine print that says you have a different deductable for rental cars.
Your best bet here is to call the insurance company. They're the ones who make the rules, and they're the ones who are going to decide whether or not they want to pay. And if the agent doesn't seem confident about his or her answer, talk to someone else until you're confident in the answer.

Answer
How would that work for those of us who do not own cars?
I always thought that the rental car company deductible applied before any primary or secondary personal auto insurance came into play.
For example, since I don't own a car (I live in Boston), my credit card becomes the primary insurance. But Hertz mandates a $500 payment for any damage as a deductible-type renter's liability. Is there some interesting way around this?

Answer
Hertz can't subvert your credit card insurance. The deductable you'll pay is whatever your credit card company says it is.
My experience with using credit card insurance for an accident in Germany was pretty easy. Avis sent me a detailed bill for $20,000 including towing, loss of use, etc... I sent the bill to Visa. Visa sent a check to Avis.
Visa never contacted me, I never had to pay a dime.
