Trouble with Amtrak Guest Rewards membership # for the Amtrak MasterCard

Question
I recently signed up for the Amtrak Guest Rewards MasterCard with MBNA. Supposedly I was also automatically enrolled in the Amtrak Guest Rewards program. The credit card from MBNA has the Amtrak membership # imprinted on the front. However, when checking with Amtrak, they don't have the membership # nor any of my information in their system. The MBNA credit card has been in existence for about three weeks. I was told that it may take up to 60 days for the MBNA assigned Amtrak membership # to be included in Amtrak's database. It sounds odd to me. Do I just have to wait it out? Should I be concerned that the points might go nowhere? Thanks for sharing your experience.

Answer
MBNA is known for having excellent customer service. They were very responsive to a complaint I had with their LLBean Visa, much more so than most credit card companies. In the long run, I doubt they will let you down.

Answer
I agree. MBNA customer service rocks! I sent an email re: a problem I had last week. This AM they called me, resolved the problem, and apologized! What other bank does this? I'm impressed over and over again by this bank and their commitment to customer service! Just call the # on the card and ask them if everything is good to go - shouldn't be a problem.
