Question
US based cards seem to have many good retention bonus offers to keep existing customers. Anyone knows if similar offers exist in Canada?
I phoned CIBC Visa Aerogold customer service. They would not offer any fee rebate or reward bonus to renewal by existing customer. They only do that to attract new customers.
Any suggestion?

Only U.S. Banks/ Credit card companies operating in Canada seem to offer any form of retention bonus or benefit. Capital One, MBNA and Citibank come to mind. They will generally offer you a better interest rate, or bonus points for the Sony Master Card, if you threaten to cancell accounts with them.

Actually, I would love to visit Jamaica as I have never been there. Kingston is a very small town here in Canada so everytime I mention my address to someone, they think of Jamaica http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
It would be a nice winter trip.
