Question
I've been registered with Dining For Miles for quite some time now, but I just registered for UPromise (primarily since I get most of my gas at the local Mobil station).
Today I got an e-mail from "UPromise Dining" saying that since I am already registered with another dining program, they can't get me into UPromise Dining.
My question is: how could they figure out my credit card is registered under a competing dining points program?
Answer
They are all run by the same program, Idine. The airlines or other reward companies have simply teamed up with them. Thus, your credit card can only be used to earn rewards with one idividual program.
The airline miles are the best value, worth at least .20 per dollar. Upromise only gives .10
Answer
Or...if you are like me and have two credit cards (one for busines and one for personal use) then register one with each program!!!
Answer
Oh yes, you can sign up three cards under each program. You could have 50 registered credit cards but you will still only get credit under one program per purchase (the one whose credit card you used)
The benefit of having multiple cards under the various programs is that you can get credit for additional visits per month if you use a different credit card each time.
