Question
The only credit/charge card that seems to work well for statement downloading is amercian express: Microsoft money connects to amex and pulls in all my charges that posted up to that day and enters them in the account.
Is there any Visa/Mastercard that does this? I know the Quicken Visa is supposed to do it, but I use Money, and also would prefer to use my Citibank AA Mastercard, but can't get it to work with Money.
Answer
I use First Card's Visa for United Airlines Mileage plus program ( 1 mile for each dollar spent - cost is $ 60 / year). I also use Money 2000. I can look at my statments online and I download the statements into Money without any problem. Best of all, for me, is the ability to do an autopay from my checking account to pay the bill each month. This way the bill always gets paid on time and I don't have to worry about 'late fees'. I charge anything and every thing, gas, groceries, dentist, etc. I also pay the outstanding balance each month to avoid finance charges. Works great, free trip to Hawaii last year, first class upgrade this year. Highly recommended.
Answer
I just found that Chase/CO VISA is downloadable. I haven't discovered how to transfer to Quicken like Amex.
What an improvement for up to date information on your charges!
Answer
Being a Canadian... I am not familiar with American cards. The cards here are all issued by major banks (only 7 of them here) so they all have very advance online banking service even for credit card only accounts.
You may try MBNA, maybe they have the download feature but I'm not sure... have a look. http://www.mbnanetaccess.com/
