Anyone have any luck getting a retention bonus or annual fee waiver from First USA United VISA?

No such luck. They tried to downsell me to a no annual fee card but it only earned 1 mile for every $2 in purchses -definately not worth it for me. So, I just canceled my card instead and direct all charges to my other airline card

Do other cards offer a fee waiver or mileage retention bonus? If so what do they typically offer, I always have found the First USA United Card to be a good value.

I have gotten a waiver from AAdvantage Citibank Visa but never from UA's Visa.

Turns out United is offering 5K miles with the Platinum Milage Plus VISA. 60 bucks/year, not waived. I'll try to switch to this from gold.
