Question
My company is getting my payroll accounts opened at Fleet Bank. Any experiences with their Visa/Mastercards & do they have fflyer mileage programs (r they any good)? Thanks,

Answer
Their cards are pretty good (good fixed APR, nice balance tranfer offers once in a while, and good customer service) but unfortunately they don't have any mileage programs (if I'm mistaken I would appreciate if someone could clarify).
Answer
Fleet issues a S&H Greenpoints VISA card that earns greenpoints; redeamable currently only for Delta and Alaska 500 mile certificates (2500 greenpoints = 500 airline miles). There is a 2000 greenpoint bonus for initial signup and 3000 greenpoint bonus for the third use. Card accrues greenpoints at a rate of 5 points per $ charged, so equates to 1 mile per dollar. A word of caution - Greenpoints used to also include American Airlines certificates, but this was dropped this past fall - thus the partners can be changed at any time. But with only Delta and Alaska, I'de be surprised if they could "afford" to drop any more air partners. I've earned over 15,000 Delta SkyMiles since September. There is a 50,000 cap per year from SkyMiles for these 500 mile SkyReward certificates from any single vendor. One disclaimer in program rules - ""The S&H greenpoints VISA account may be used only for personal, family, or household purposes. Fleet reserves the right to terminate any account used for other purposes, including commercial or business purposes."
