VISA Infinite; anyone?

Question
Visa International has launched the Infinite card, apparently a new top of the line product (to counter the Amex Centurion card?).
Anyone out there with any personal experience? What are the perks/possibilities?

Answer
The only thing I could find on their Web site was the "signature" card, which is, at best, a sorry excuse for the Centurion. It seems about the same as the "World" Mastercard that's been around for a few years. Then again, maybe it is, and maybe the new card isn't on the Web site.

Answer
"Signature can at this time be considered "equivalent" to Amex Plat., but Infinite is a new product one notch above this level..

Answer
How'd you heard about this?

Answer
I found a press release at the Visa Web site:

Seems like it's like the Centurion card without the elite flying benefits. But then again, Visa often doesn't charge a fee.

Or:
Could it be that Visa deliberately has kept quiet about it and that, unlike other "top notch cards", it's only available to the very very few and select??
I found out about it when contacting our local Visa and MC representatives to see whether they could come up with a programme similar to my Centurion Card. Apparently Infinite is not available in Norway, but a description and picture can be found at www.visa.no (http://www.visa.no)
Then click: "Produkter". -> "våre produkter".
In Norway the "Platinum Card" concept is very new since Amex stops at Gold, Visa/MC Platinum have just been introduced and carry a heafty fee, but MC gives you a $25-30.000 credit line. Conccierge Service, Summit Club, Forte Discounts, Avis discounts also come with the package which is only offered by one bank so far in Norway.
The Infinite is not offered as yet.
Apparantely MC has a similar product in the pipeline to top up on the "World" card.

You FT people just dont get it. The real hidden beauty of this nice ultra-exclusive card, ie NOBODY CAN ACTUALLY GET IT. Sure the teaser PR got out but nothing else in 2 years. Status seekers all over the world are charging mega-$$$$ on lowly white, silver, gold etc Visa cards in the hope of "qualifying" for this card. Take it from me, you aint got a chance. Centurion card holders have dropped 86.457% as a new wave of status-seekers whip out their Visa Card hoping upon hope they "qualify".
ps: I hear it costs $125,000/yr, is 1/4" thick, has its own lithium battery and will automatically print upgrade boarding passes for you and up to 3 companions.

I think you'll find that the infinite card was the original code name for the signiture card. It relates to the no spending limit part of the card (ie. infinite).
They since decided to market it as a signature card, which has all the proposed perks of the Infinite Card.
Also, visa have released a Platinum card in the Asia Pacific markets, that actually has some real bennefits.
I have used it to get sheraton/westin towers/club upgrades, companion business class airfaires, ritz carlton upgrades, and hyatt upgrades.
Atlast, something Australia has that you guys don't have !!!!! LOL

well, you get it my friend! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
when I was 19, I worked at Citibank Credit card. For fun, we'd check the credit limits of movie stars, etc.
Almost all had a basic Visa card, & with $50,000-$100,000 credit limit. Certain pop stars charged $250,000 on certain purchases. NO MILES!
See, when you're rich, you could care less about free miles on an airline with blackout dates. These guys just PAY. & when they travel 1st, they pay.
A black card is a poor excuse to belong/pose to a TRUE monetarily elite club who could care less for such things--much less pay $1000 for the privilege.
Many wealthy friends I have only use classic cards. Not even Gold!...
