Question
I've been looking for a free Visa or MC that gives rewards and have yet to find a good one (not just free for the first year ...).
The only thing I've found is Lycos Rewards (http://rewards.lycos.com/) which has a MasterCard that earns points that can be converted to ClickMiles ... the problem is that the conversion rate comes out to 500 miles for each $2140 spent, not all that generous. Anyone else have any other suggestions?

Try Compbank..... It is free, you get one clickreward mile for every dollar charged on your debit Visa check card. (The click points are convertible 1 for 1 for many different airline programs).
Also, get 500 clickmiles for signing up.

I second that with CompuBank. If you signup via the link at www.valueconsumer.com/CreditCards/CreditCards.htm (http://www.valueconsumer.com/CreditCards/CreditCards.htm) you get $40 cash bonus. I received the bonus about 3 weeks after my opened by account.
You have to use CompuBank Visa Checkcard like credit card not as debit card in order to receive the ClickMiles and miles are posted within a few days after the transaction. So far I'm very pleased with it.
I'm saving ClickMiles for next redeemption promotion. I took advantage of 1 for 2 redeemption last year and this year with Starwood. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif I'll be find out whether I would get 5K bonus when I transfer 20K miles...

Just be aware that Compubank will not issue you your debit card until you have been a "member in good standing" for 3 months. This is not stated anywhere on thier web site until after you sign up and try to get your card.

Just a reminder that you cannot transfer the Clickmiles earned from your compubank directly to DL. You have to "filter" those Clickmiles through Starwood.
Also, sign-up the auto-debit (I forgot the exact term) with them to get 750 bonus miles.
