Any affinity cards better than 1 for 1?

Question
Are there any Visa or Mastercard accounts that offer better than a 1 mile/dollar ratio? I am aware of the Delta Skymiles card with AMEX but not any V or MC. Thanks.

Answer
US Airways offers 1.2 per $ on its Platinum, but it costs $125/year. Both north of 49 (Air Canada/CIBC and Canadian/Royal Bank) offer 1 per C$ (about 1.45 per US$), but you'll need a way to pay them in Canadian currency, as well as a Canadian billing address.

Answer
Right now, the AA citibank click card will give you double miles but only until 5/31/00. There is a $50 fee UNLESS you already have an AA citibank card, then the fee is waived. The starpoints AMEX is 1 for 1 unless you are taking 20,000 of them and transferring to an airline program, then you get a 5000 mile bonus which makes it like 1:1.25 at that level of transfer. DL AMEX has only the occasional promos of 2:1 - the one going on now with DL and Membership Rewards is for supermarkets and gas stations. Occasionally they have had it for every purchase for a limited time.
I am not aware of any other affinity card.

And of course if you get a free Starwood Optima card you get 25,000 miles for each 20,000 transfered (a 25% bonus).

Answer
Thanks - I'll definitely look into these.

Answer
I should also mention the Southwest Visa--one credit per $1000 spent yields a freebie on $16k, and the credits do count toward Companion Reward status.

Answer
More thoughts on that USAirways/Bank of America Platinum Visa Card:
For general purchases you get 1.2 miles/dollar. However, you get 2 miles/dollar "on all USAirways goods and services charged to the card."
There's also a 5000 mile bonus for the first purchase.
