AAdvantage miles missing !

Question
My first Click Citi statement closed November 11th. To date, the miles have not posted to my AAdvantage account. I know it's just over three weeks, but my "regular" AAdvantage VISA usually posts within a week. Has anyone else had a similar problem with Click Citi ?

Answer
Missing miles found !! Several calls to Citibank revealed that they had opened a new AAdvantage account when I opened my Click Citi account. I called AAdvantage and they combined the two accounts within 48 hours.

Answer
Just wondering, what you think of the CitiClick program? I was thinking of joining if only fopr the double miles for online purchases, but i think I had figured out that you can also use the card to order other things not online and still earn double miles. Things like mail order, etc. Anyone want to test this possible loophole????

Answer
I didn't really need or want another credit card, but for free and double miles why not?? It's just a regular 'ol MasterCard, and as long as the card doesn't need to be swiped it can be used for anything, it's not "just for the net" Have yet to get my first statement, but hopefully everything will post to my AA account OK.

Answer
Other than the problem I detailed above, I'm very happy. I have used it on mail & phone orders extensively with no problem. As Burkey says, you can use it anywhere as long as the card doesn't have to be swiped. The double miles are really adding up ! With no annual fee, it was a no brainer for me. I also had a Citibank card which I never used as it didn't accrue miles. With one call, Citibank closed the account and added the available credit line to my Click Citi line. The only drawback is the 60,000 mile annual limit. I called and there is no Platinum option at this time( which would remove the annual cap). I haven't researched all the misc benefits since I use only Diners Club for car rentals to get primary insurance coverage.

Answer
I spoke too soon, what arrives in the mail today...nothing but another Aadvantage card!! They did the same to me as Schutzee, opened a new account...had to call AA and Citibank to fix the problem, and I asked the lady at Citibank, why on earth they didn't use the ff number I already have on file with them for my regular AA visa? Oh, she said you must not have filled it in on the application... yeah, I don't think so.

Answer
Just noticed the new VISA/MASTERCARD forum.
I would be grossly remiss to not say THANK YOU!!
It's already paid off!!

Answer
My Click Citi account was incorrect also...they opened a new AA FF account although I provided them with my existing one. A quick call to Citibank and AA corrected this and the two accounts have been consolidated into my old one.

Answer
does anyone have a promo code# to sign up with to get a bonus for opening the acct. I was told that promos are out there in addition to the 2x on the miles.

Answer
Spoke with the people at Click.Seems that this card is completly different from the AA credit card.In plain English I was told they both can earn 60,000 MILES so with both cards you can earn 120,000 ayear.

Answer
craz, The Click Citi card is separate from any other Citi card you may have, and is issued with a new account number. My complaint is the 60,000 annual mileage limit, which one will reach at $30,000 spending with the double mile promo. I will reach this by March due to business spending, and thus the double miles will end for me as I will return to using my platinum AAdvantage card which has no annual limit. It's still netting me 30,000 bonus miles with no annual fee. As I read my own post, I see how spoiled I have become. There was a time when I got excited over a 1000 mile bonus !

Answer
SCHUTZEE, finally got the time to go over the welcome papers that citi sent with the c.c. Seems if one is aa-gold or higher then theres no limit on the miles one can earn.Just got the Click card on Fri,but I won't be back to the U.S. till Feb so I only can think that was is the rule for one is the same for the other. I don't fly AA so I'm limited in miles that can be earned. However I expect to have earned 55,000 miles by the end of 6 months via all the promos not including miles from using the cards or the phone.
