Question
I just received my President's Choice Visa today. The card will be available nationally in the spring, but I was able to pick up an application form on my recent trip to Ottawa, one of their test markets.
The card earns 10 PC points per dollar charged, which in effect equals a 1% rebate. The points can be redeemed for virtually anything at Loblaws and affiliated grocery stores. There's no annual fee, the only drawback seems to be that there's no warranty protection offered, unlike many other Visa cards.
In summary, this is a great no-fee "add-on" card for those who use mainly an Amex or Diners card and sometimes need a back-up for when it's not accepted. Not as glamorous as ff miles, but hey, we all gotta eat, right?
