does private carrier & exempt have the same meaning?
are ag products exempt?
i know there are some differances just not sure what.
gave up trying to make money hauling frieght a couple years ago. currently my truck has farm tags no dot# etc. can haul only my products within 150 radius unless i buy trip permits then can go farther, still only my products.
i was told i could get a private carrier authority fairly easy but would probably just be more headaches safety program etc. and no benifits as to what i can haul.
my question: if i was to apply for full interstate authority insurance & all would there be any differance from hualing regular freight or exempt products? i am assuming ag products are exempt?
