Question
After reading 2 pages of posts plus a whole lot of
replies to the posts... Am I right in assuming that I with only 7...8 months of otr expirence will not be able to purchase insurance at any price any where ?

Answer
Bill,
Experience and driving record are key to truck insurance these days. Our agency does not have any insurance company that will accept a driver and/or owner/operator with less than 2 years full-time driving experience. Some want 3 years.
Search the internet, but I think you're going to encounter a good deal of rejection along the way.

THANKS I guess ...for the reply. You should post
this info on the newbe page about once a month so
that they wouldn't guit there slave driving jobs
just yet.
Anyone out there have money and want to start an insurance company ? I see a huge market here.
Big slave driving training companies would fold
in a year.

Answer
There was a period of time when insurance companies did take less experienced drivers and it has resulted in disaster and part of what we are feeling today.
They sacraficed experience for greed. Now they have shifted the other direction in an effort to correct. And all consumers are paying the price.
While you may not think it's fair to you at this time, it will be in the long run.
