Our office has been in the midst of a major data conversion since November. The old system was inadequate to handle the workload and the new system took hundreds of woman-hours to get up and running.
This billing cycle was the first month the new system ran independently AND error free. AMEN!!!
If I ever have to do a data conversion again, I will retire. (This was the second time in 3 years.) Anyone who's ever done one knows what I'm talking about.
The new system will earn it's keep, without a doubt, but in the meantime I have a hard time walking past a bar without stopping for a cold one . The difference now is I celebrate and two months ago it was to numb my senses (or what was left of them).
