In my travels through the wonderful world of truck insurance, I came across a reference book put out by a law firm in Atlanta Georgia.
It goes through Motor Carrier Safety Programs, Accident Investigation, Lawsuit Defense, Negligient Entrustment/Hiring, and many other topics from a historical and current case law stance.
I have found it very helpful in demonstrating to clients and prospects the ramifications of their actions as it relates to their responsibilities under common and federal law.
It was very inexpensive ($25) and was sent with just a phone calto the law office.

I put this post out here because for those who are looking to obtain their own authority or who have general questions, reference material like this is very valuable but knowing where to obtain it is usually the toughest battle we all face.

I've found it a very valuable tool when speaking with motor carriers regarding hiring standards and why deviation from said standards opens them up to greater liability exposure.
