Just found out that I have been driving around with no PDI since 5/29/01. My loan company asked for a copy of policy and going thru all my paper work with LANDSTAR I couldnt find a policy. So I emailed the company LANDSTAR uses and was informed that thats something LANDSTAR leaves up to us.
They want 6% of the declared value of the truck for premiums. Thats with $500 deductible on a 1999 Volvo VN610, which the finance company wants.It works out to aprox $270 amonth.
No major preventibles and 2 speeding tickets in the last year.Would I be better off using LANDSTARS insurance company? It looks easier to qualify for.
Also, where can I get gap insurance or is it for leases only.
