Question
Retread said:
Connie, in the Insurance Forum, can shed more light on how insurance companies look at violations on CDL's.
I need a driving job, but I have 2 speeding tickets that exceed 15mph..
I take it, the problems I will have getting a job driving is because of insurance reasons?
What if I become an Leased O/O .. don't I pay my own insurance? If so, why would my tickets matter to the company?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Answer
Per our phone discussion, your MVR is your resume and with your limited experience and 2 major violations, most carriers will have problems with the insurance.
Keep in mind as a leased owner-operator, the motor carrier is still providing your liability and cargo.
Best of luck.
