Tickets and Driving School

Question
I have been told that if you get a speeding ticket and attend a driver safety school that the points would be errased but the ticket is still on your MVR. I called the Clerk of the Court in my area and found out this is true. My question is what difference does it make if you go to school or not? There is still going to be a ticket on the license for all to see. Will that speeding ticket affect a persons ability to be hired by a trucking company?
Prozac, sometimes I feel like a nut

Answer
The points you refer to are by the state. Insurance companies use their own point system based on the type of violation. If the violation appears on the MVR, they will use their point system in determining rate and premium.
None of my markets currently provide any consideration for attending "point reduction" school. If the violation appears, it will be considered.
Hope this answers your question.
