Am I Paying too much?
I'm an O/O, Stay within NM mostly. Generally I am within 150 miles from home. Pull a belly dump and flatbed mostly with some lowboy/heavy hauling. I don't carry comp because my truck is older & paid for. I have a 1 mil umbrella policy that went from about $1700 in 2000 to About $2000 in 2001. I know others who pay less and cover more equip. My driving record is clean and I have 15 yrs experience. Can someone give me a clue?

Insurance premiums have been steadily climbing. When you say others are paying less, it's hard to determine if we are comparing apples to apples. Insurance is a specific product and rated to the individual and his operation. There times is a large variance between different types of insurance companies in how they rate the risk involved.
