Workman's Comp Insurance Question

Question
Connie,
Thanks for all your help on this subject. I don't see any requests from anyone on Workman's Comp insurance. As a new fleet owner, what can I expect to pay for Workman's Comp insurance? We'll be based out of TN.

Workers Compensation is an interesting animal. As it is state regulated, rates are set by the state and not the insurance companies.
You state you will be based out of Tennessee, but I notice you are in Dayton, OH. Could you please elaborate?
The reason I ask is that Ohio is monopolistic and if you are an Ohio employer, you will need to purchase your Workers Compensation from the State of Ohio.
To help you with some of the facets surrounding this coverage, feel free to call me at 800-933-7911 to discuss your specific needs and options.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Answer
Connie,
I suppose it does look kinda funny, doesn't it? I'm living in Dayton right now, but when we start operations, the corporate address and base state will be in TN because that's where my family is and where my wife and I will be moving when I get out of the service.
Thanks for the help, I'll try to give you a call this evening.
