insurance questions

Question
To Connie the insurance lady you replied to one of my post in the o/o section. I am planning on leasing to someone so I don't have to mess with authority right now if it is possible. I'm trying to make a spreadsheet of expensises before we even think about signing any truck papers. Could you give me a rough idea on how much insurance would run on a new truck. I know there are alot of variables but any idea is better than none.

Answer
CSS,
Assuming a new truck at $100,000 value and two drivers over age 25 with no formal experience OTR and clean driving records, IF a company would write the policy, you can expect to see Physical Damage from $4,000 - $6,000 annually and Non-Trucking Liability for $1 Million CSL at $600 to $2,000 annually.
Again, I say IF.
You might want to consider leasing to a trucking company that already has an insurance program in place. It could save you quite a bit of money.
Best of luck!
Connie
