I recently had a question about where an O/O could obtain health insurance. Any advice from your corner? The only ones I am familiar with are ins. companies through the employing company.

Medical Insurance is a real problem these days, because it is so costly for what you get. I don't sell Medical coverage, but have been told by a number of truckers that OOIDA has about the best insurance plan available. The other suggestion I have is that many independent (local) insurance agents have health insurance you can purchase at pretty reasonable rates. Here is Wisconsin a man with spouse and two children purchased health insurance with Golden Rule Insurance Company for approximately $275 per month. I don't know the specifics of the plan, but would recommend checking into that option as well.
