Poor MVR

Question
I am finding that I am unable to be covered by an Insurer for Commercial Vehicle due to the fact that 2 years back, I had an at fault accident that resulted in me getting 6 points on my Ohio driver's license along with a suspension that allowed for driving to work (my license has since been re-instated). I was found guilty of reckless operation and failure to control. I am required to have SR 22 bond till year 2001.
Can anyone advise of how to overcome this problem and get insurance for driving. I have a Class B CDL with Air brake and Haz Mat.
Thank you.

Answer
A "Reckless" operation on the current CDL is considered by most insurance companies to be a major violation. It's lumped in with DWI and Drug Related Offenses.
Do you currently have auto insurance? If so, did your insurance company file the bond for you?
Also, "DEPENDING" on the circumstances, there MAY be the possibility of getting insurance. You do not mention if you are an owner-operator or company driver. If you're willing to provide more details, I will be glad to try and help you. Please keep in mind, I'm not making any promises, but I do have some resources that may be able to help.
May I suggest you give me a call at your convenience at 800-933-7911.
