I'm wanting to know if there is any insurance company that will provide insurance to someone that has held a C.D.L for alittle over a year now with only one speeding ticket 9/14/94 and one D.W.I that was on 3/17/93 - nouthing else on driving report but 1+ point .I have lot's of driven exp. but not with a company or an empoylor . I want to operate under my own authority in the state of Va.(running in Va. Maryland,and Penn.) I'm looking to get $ 1 million in liability,$ 50,000 for cargo and collision of course would depend on truck (?) Which is not worth checking on if I'm not able to get insurance.

Nutsweb, I've got good news for you. Yes there is. With the DWI being over 5 years old, insurance companies will probably discount it entirely. The most my insurance carriers go back is 5 years. As for the inexperience, the pricing maybe a bit high. But you can get insurance. How about giving me a call to discuss the particulars at 800-933-7911.
