Answer
I have been living with a ruptured disk (t-3) for
15 years now. With proper rest and exercise, I have very little problems. I try not to unload any trailers and when I do, I don't lift anything over my head. In time I know I will need surgery. I do have a current medical card and it is listed on my physical that I have this condition.
I know of another driver who has had the surgery and he has told me he still has problems with his back. My advice is to ask your doctor for a good physical therapist that can teach you proper stretching. This has help me greatly 13 years ago when I was pregnant with my son, and still helps me today.

Answer
I had a disk fusion at c-6 in 89 and after the MRI they found old injuries that I had as a kid.Ive suffered with this for many many yrs and have found that the very best thing is to stretch, and drink alot of water, the water is paramount as it gets to your discs and just like a sponge they 'soak it up' and the pain dissapears! My doctor said its like lubrication to your disks and over all skelital joints Ect... I dont lift anything over my head and excersize at the gym and that really helps....Lovin You Lovin Me Dr Mike & Dr Intim

Answer
thanx for the advice,i also have had a fusion done between c5 and c6,had a disk clipped between L4 and L5,now the disk between L4 and L5 has rupture again,it gives me trouble every now and then, but i can live with it,i do execise as much as possible,i walk just about every day and you won't see me do any unloading unless it is light weight, i'm resricted to nothing over 75lbs at a shot distance,i'm just worried that since it is a disk that has been damaged before i could be disqualified from driving,i'm putting off having surgery as long as possible, but my bad days are
getting worse, does anybody know can i be disqualified,i know that everytime you have surgery on your disk, the other disk are weakened to a certain point,i like driving to much to give it up without a fight,i may just put up with the pain and not have the surgery if i have to give up driving

Answer
i dont know if you have tried it, but a GOOD chiropracto can help loads, both with relief and advice. it helps me a lot
be sure and tell them your conditions before they touch you!!!
