Vaccination against heppatitis

Question
What are your thoughts on vaccinations against hepatitis B and A for truck drivers. I am thinking of getting them for myself; I am in good health but just want protection.

Answer
I highly recommend the vaccinations. One never knows when an exposure will occur or from what source.
I understand that the Hep. B vaccine is being recommended by many physicians for teens.
The problem that many over the road drivers will encounter is that the Hep. B. vaccine is a series if 3 shots to be given at specific times over a 6 month period. I think many will find it difficult to complete the regimen. And there should be a titer (blood test) done after the last injection to ensure that immunity has definitely been established.
But hey! If you are traveling through the Baltimore/Wash. D.C. area, we can get you started. Just stop in at the Jessup truck stop and mosey on up to the second floor of the hotel.
