Question
Anyone ever used or know anyone that had to take on the road and keep with them a prescription that needed to be kept cold at a constant temperature and those portable $400--$500 or cheaper DC fridges worked well in the cab so you wouldnt have to make a desperate run to keep filling up the fridge with ice. And I know you proabably mite be thinkin just put your meds inside the reefer box if your haulin one but in that senereo it would be to cold and freeze the meds destroying them.
Answer
A lot of companies will not allow the installation of products that require direct wiring to the batteries, which those actual 12v fridges do.
An answer to this problem would be to use a 12v cooler. It will more than keep medications that need to be refriderated cool enough. As an added safety measure you can freeze 1/2 a bottle of water or place some ice in a freezer bag which will help keep the interior even cooler and remain cool if you need to unplug the unit or it goes out on you.
