Question
Has anyone attended US Xpress orientation and done their physical. I was curious if they gave an eye test. I am afraid of these because I can go to some doctors with my contacts in and read 20/30, some 20/40 and other 20/50. I have been able to choose the right doctors with the right lighting and charts for continue getting my DOT card renewed with no problem. Now, my wife and I are thinking about USXpress and they mention a physical as part of their orientation. I am just wonder if vision is part of the physical and what should I expect if it is. Thanks in advance for any response.
Answer
Vision Testing (reading a line on the wall chart) is supposed to be in ALL DOT physicals. Some will give you a color test, some don't. I expect that USELESS Xpress's is reasonably thourough''

Thats what I thought . But My wife and I just moved back to California from Nebraska. After doing so my wife went to DMV to change her lic. back to a Ca. issue.
She came back saying she had to retake a written test (she has no violations)
Clerk there had told her new law states that upon renewal (every 4 years) It is now law that you must take a refresher test
I never switched my lic. when we moved , so I didnt need to go for state change when we got back
Guess I should look into this law eh ... maybe my wife is hiding some tickets I know nothing about
Answer
why would anyone move to california

We lost everything in Ne. 2 new cars included due to no jobs or jobs that pay little to nothing. Must have hand me down farmland to survive in a small town of 350 pop.
We returned to our house in Downey Ca. where my wife works with autistic children in the school district (got old job back) I am bouncing around try to find a place I can work and be happy. Later we will return to Ne. after retirement to be with the grandkids.
Live off of our 401 and whatever else we have saved
We thought it might be to cold to live on the streets in Ne. during the winter
