Answer
Hello Mary,
The newer truck seats have the technology in seating that is your best defense in protecting your body from a lot of the hazards of OTR driving. A lot are using the Air-ride concept for seating.
I would not recommend pillows as they tend to shift around with you and can make you sit in awkward positions which can lead to other problems.
Some persons wear what is referred to as a kidney belt. It is a large wide belt that provides support to the low back and kidney areas. Motorcycle riders used to wear them a lot but don't much now due to advances in seating for bikes too.
If you are driving a truck that has poor seating, is old, worn out, etc. Talk to your employer about a new seat.
As for this being a contributor to PMS, well.....I can't honestly answer that one. As you know, one woman's PMS is much different than the next. What will and will not affect it is as individual as the person experiencing it. Most PMS symptoms are the body's reactions to hormonal changes. If you are one that is generally experiencing a lot of aches and pains during this time then I would suggest some of the over the counter medications specifically designed for PMS. You may want to start taking them a day or two BEFORE the discomfort sets in. Pain or discomfort that is treated right away is easier to releive than discomfort that has been allowed to really get wound up and roaring.
I know this isn't much info for you, but please let me know if I can be of further help.
