I will have a procedure performed by my Doctor. The pain medicine I will take for this is a powerful Narcotic that wears off after 6 hours. In hours, what is the time spread from when I take it & I can go to work & not be in violation of DOT Reg's?

I was looking more for the number of hours before starting work. I thought it was 8 hours before starting to drive. But I will ask him tomorrow the same question. Thank you for your timely response. Phil.
