Nurse Red...question from a friend of mine about cellulitis

Question
From Email:

My friend wants to know if medically cellulitis impairs driving ability, and why it needed to be disclosed on her husbands application with the trucking company. They fired him over this, so any information you could give me to pass on to her would be terrific.
Thank you in advance!
Chantal

Answer
Not unless there is more involved than what is mentioned here.
I would go for a resolution of conflict ruling on that one. For more infor, go to our webpage by clicking on the link below. At the bottom of the page should be a link to the section on Resolution of Conflict.

Answer
The company in question, as part of their hiring process, sends the potential driver for a physical. On the physical there is a question that asks the driver to list illnesses for the previous 5 years. The original case of cellulitis occurred 2.5 years previously and hadn't returned. S**** forgot to add it to the questionaire.
The safety director of the company called S**** to tell him that because this condition was not disclosed on his medical questionaire, they felt that he lied on his application and his employment with the company was being terminated immediately.
S****'s wife contacted a lawyer in their area who told them that because the company was an "at will" employer, they have no recourse against the company.
I don't know much more than that. I appreciate you replying to my post. I will send my friend the link to your website. At this point, I don't think they want to go back with this company, I think they just want to keep this off his DAC.YES! I spell colour with a U, cause I AM CANADIAN!!!
