Question
I had a heart attack, a mild one. I live in Ohio and was wondering what the rules were in getting back to driving. I know I have to get a stress test done, but what else do I need to do and are there different laws from state to state?
Anything you can help me with is greatly appreciated.
Keep the sunny side up and the dirty side down.
Happiness comes in small doses, take them when you can.
Answer
First of all, get the stress test done, and a letter from your cardialogist indicating that he is aware of the job responsibilities of a driver and in his opinion you are safe to drive over the road.
When you go for driver physical, take a copy of the stress test, a copy of your latest lab work, the letter from your Dr. and a list of your meds.
This will shorten the process and will probably get you a 1 year card.
Keeping you safe, healthy and on the road.
