Question
I made an appointment to have my wrist looked at..
Have a large hard lump on my wrist that does not hurt, but want to have it looked at..
Anyway, this is the first time I have used hubbys new insurance and I went on the provider network and found a Doctors office that could give me a next day appointment..was not until after I made it, that i realized they are not an MD, but a DO...did some research and seems as far as being a family practioner they have the same education, and most specialize in family practice,so all should be well..but I wanted to get your opinion as well...
Are they just as good as an MD?

Answer
Many are happy with DO's for some things and some are not. Purely a personal decision to be made by you.
However, I will say that what you are describing sounds like a ganglion cyst. That is something a DO could easily take care of for you.
Keeping you safe, healthy and on the road.

Answer
sounds like a ganglion cyst
Yep, thats exactly what it turned out to be..
He is going to watch it for a few months and see if it goes away..gets bigger..or if it starts to hurt...
They can drain or remove it if it gets much bigger or starts to hurt..but he says they usually come back..

Answer
I have one on my finger.
Went to Dr, he says it will come and go, try to deal with it because, "I can make ANYTHING hurt with surgery!"
