Question
Hi,
I just completed a search in the medical forum about "Sleep apnea" unfortunately most of the information is over a year old. I know how fast things change some times and I was wondering if you knew if the DOT has come out with any regulations recently that bar a driver with apnea from driving? Or is it mostly a carrier based decision, thanks to the lovely insurance companies out there?
Thanks for any info you can provide!

Answer
and won't be until the medical conference of Occupational Medicine Physicians convenes and releases any new guidelines they feel necessary.
Carriers do have some control over the degree of sleep apnea they will aceept depending upon the effectiveness of treatment on the driver.
