Question
Man I think my short term memory is going to the dogs. I can't seem to remember what the he!! I did yesterday and it just seems to be getting worse.
I'm wondering if it is the fact that I never seem to catch up on sleep. Here goes Ziggy fire away........
I run my *** off all week and then I come home and have to travel to kids events. Everything is out of town usually another 200 plus miles of driving after I get home. Sit in the sun and have fun and then drive home. Try to catch up on stuff that needs to be done around the house and then get to bed late and off to work again.
Will all this cause one to lose their mind??? Literally...........

I can remember stuff from my mary jane days better than I can remember stuff now. It all seems to be a haze anymore.

Stress will do that to you Peacekeeper, that and lack of complete rest. You have no body clock, either that or it never knows what time it is either. It's summer time now, maybe when the kids are out of school you can begin to get back on some what of a schedule. If you don't work on it soon, the situation could get worse.
Went to the doc last fall thinking I might have the early stages of alzheimers. After some pointed questions found out it was stress, plain and simple. Made some changes and I now have half a brain rather than not much of any.
I'll copy this to the Medical forum for Nurse Red. I'd say this is an all too common problem.

What concerns me more than your memory loss is the fact that this can also cause delayed reaction times and mental confusion as well.
Instead of just sitting in the sun at the kids events, take a blanket and find a shady tree somewhere. GET A NAP OR TWO in on the weekends.
The kids will just have to understand. Or let someone else do the driving while you nap on the way to their events.
Try taking a Multivitamin too.
Keeping you safe, healthy and on the road.
