I was diagnosed with Hepititus C 2 years ago. This is just a little message to all of you that have ever had a tattoo, blood tranfusion before 1990, ever used IV drugs(even just one time) Or gotten somebody elses blood in an open wound. GET TESTED. Hep c is more then twice as common as HIV, sith more people then ever being infected. You can only get it through blood on blood contact. Most people don't even know they have it untill they start to have other probablems like cirosis or liver cancer of pain in the upper right part of their abdomain. It is treatable. I most likly got it 20 years ago. I now take precautcions like med alert id bracelet. and always covering any open wounds no matter how small. I found out I had it through screening when donateing blood. I had to make some lifestyle changes but am doing fine. This is an epidimic that gets nearly no attcion. If you fit any of the above risk factors GET TESTED.
